Production Associate

Part-Time / On-Site / Seasonal

Role Overview:

We are searching for a Production Associate to join the Smorgasburg Miami team and support the execution of our weekend markets and special events.

This is a hands-on, on-site role that plays a key part in bringing each event to life. You’ll support setup, vendor coordination, and overall event flow, helping ensure everything runs smoothly from load-in to breakdown.

This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in events, hospitality, or a related field

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with vendors and guests

  • Ability to stay organized and responsive in a fast-paced environment

  • Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude

  • Comfortable performing physical work and being on your feet for extended periods

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs

  • Availability to work weekends and event-based schedules

Nice-to-have:

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)

  • Experience working in outdoor markets, festivals, or high-volume events

  • Familiarity with vendor operations or food-based events

Responsibilities:

Event Operations

  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tents, signage, and infrastructure

  • Support overall site readiness before, during, and after events

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and functional event space

Vendor Coordination

  • Facilitate vendor load-in and load-out

  • Provide basic guidance and support to vendors during setup

  • Help ensure smooth flow of operations across the market

Guest Support

  • Answer guest questions and provide general event information

  • Help create a welcoming and positive environment for attendees

Team Support

  • Assist the event management team with any tasks needed during live operations

  • Step in where needed to ensure the success of the event

Work Schedule & Details:

  • Status: Part-time

  • Schedule: Weekends + special events

  • Location: Smorgasburg (Fort Lauderdale)

  • Reports to: Director of Operations
