Guest Experience Associate

Part-Time / On-Site / Seasonal

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Host & Guest Experience Associate to join the Smorgasburg team and lead the experience at our Host & Info Tent during weekend markets and special events.

This is a highly guest-facing role where you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors. You’ll welcome guests, answer questions, guide them through the market, and help create a fun, smooth, and memorable experience from the moment they arrive.

You are the face of Smorgasburg—setting the tone for the entire market.

This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, resourceful, and thrives in fast-paced, social environments.

  • Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Welcome

  • Greet all guests at the Host/Info Tent with warmth and energy

  • Provide an overview of the market, daily programming, and highlights

  • Distribute maps, vendor guides, and event information

Vendor Knowledge & Recommendations

  • Learn all vendors and their menus, including dietary options

  • Make personalized food recommendations based on guest preferences

  • Guide guests through the market using maps and directions

Guest Support & Problem Solving

  • Answer questions related to parking, hours, restrooms, accessibility, and policies

  • Assist with vouchers, ticket pickups, and promotions

  • Resolve guest issues with clear, helpful solutions

VIP & Special Guest Hosting

  • Welcome and assist VIPs, influencers, concierges, and group guests

  • Coordinate arrivals and ensure a smooth, elevated experience

  • Stay informed on expected guests and special activations

Brand Storytelling & Promotion

  • Share the Smorgasburg story, mission, and community impact

  • Educate guests on our presence across multiple cities

  • Promote upcoming events, experiences, and ticketed activations

Host Tent Activation

  • Keep the Host Tent engaging and interactive

  • Support raffles, giveaways, and day-of activities

  • Assist with light merchandise display or featured items

Operations & Organization

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming tent space

  • Stay professional, polished, and energetic throughout the shift

  • Anticipate guest needs and take initiative

Work Schedule & Details:

  • Status: Part-time (max 24 hours/week)

  • Schedule: Weekends + special events

  • Location: Smorgasburg (Fort Lauderdale)

  • Reports to: Director of Operations
