Bartender

Part-Time/ On-Site / Seasonal

Role Overview:

We are searching for a Part-Time Bartender to join the Smorgasburg team and support bar operations during our weekend markets and special events.

This is a fast-paced, guest-facing role focused on delivering great drinks and even better experiences. You’ll be responsible for preparing beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and creating a fun, welcoming environment for guests.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-energy settings, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in strong, efficient service.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years of bartending experience

  • Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, beer, and wine service

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable handling cash and processing transactions accurately

  • Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ lbs

  • Availability to work weekends and event-based schedules

Nice-to-have:

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)

  • Experience working in outdoor events, markets, or festivals

  • Familiarity with high-volume bar service

Responsibilities:

Bar Operations

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine

  • Set up and break down the bar before and after service

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area

  • Ensure all tools, ingredients, and supplies are ready for service

Guest Experience

  • Provide friendly, efficient, and engaging service to all guests

  • Create a welcoming and high-energy bar atmosphere

  • Answer questions and make recommendations when needed

Service & Compliance

  • Handle cash and process transactions accurately

  • Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines and safety regulations

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout service

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the bar and event team to ensure smooth operations

  • Support team members as needed during peak service times

Work Schedule & Details:

  • Status: Part-time

  • Schedule: Weekends + special events

  • Location: Smorgasburg (Fort Lauderdale)

  • Reports to: Director of Operations
